Vitamin B

Vit. B1 = Thiamine 

 

Deficiency: 

B1 deficiency may lead to Fatique, Nausea, Vomiting, Depression, 

Gastrointestinal problems, loss of Memory and Concentration. 

Extreme malnutrition and alcoholism may lead to Beriberi. 

 

Beneficial: 

B1 has been used for the treatment of Beriberi, Herpes zoster and various  

Nerve problems. B1 is useful in the manufacture of hydrochloric acid and  

to prevent Sea sickness. In combination with B3, B6, B12 and B15, B1  

has been of help in cases of Multiple sclerosis. It is reported that B1 has  

reduced enlarged Hearts and normalized electrocardiograms. 

 

Caution: 

Large doses can cause adverse reactions!

Functions: 

As part of a Coenzyme B1 is needed for the breakdown of  

Carbohydrates into Glucose. It is needed for the activities of the Nerves  

and Mental abilities. It is part of the Metabolism in general and helps to  

prevent buildup of fatty deposits in the walls of the Arteries. 

Vit. B2 = Riboflavin 

 

Deficiency: 

B2 deficiency may cause following symptoms: red, sore Tongue, Baldness,  

Trembling, Dizziness, Dropsy, Cracks and Sores in the corners of Mouth,  

Fatigue, Sore and Itching Eyes, Insomnia, Damage to Cornea of Eyes,  

Light sensitivity, Vaginal itching, Scaling around Nose, Mouth and Ears. 

 

Beneficial: 

Should be added to treat Alcoholism, Pellagra, Parkinson's, Eczema, 

Intestinal problems and all afflictions to Nerves, Brain, Eyes, Circulation  

and Organs.

Functions: 

B2 is part of the general Metabolism. It is involved in the breakdown of  

Carbohydrates, Fats and Proteins. B2 is important for Cell respiration,

Biotin = Vit H 

 

Deficiency: 

Nervous disorders, Depression, Muscle pain, Dermatitis, grayish Skin,  

Weakness 

 

Beneficial: 

Consider for Depression, Dermatitis, Muscle pain and Baldness

Liver, Egg yolk, Yeast, unpolished Rice 

 

Vit. B3 = Niacin 

 

Deficiency: 

B3 deficiency symptoms may include: Pellagra; Dermatitis; Dementia; loss  

of Memory and Concentration; Tremors, Irritability and Nervous disorders;  

Inflammation of Membranes and Stomach lining; Headaches; Skin lesions  

and other problems;Diarrhea; Weakness; Fatigue; Nausea and Vomiting. 

 

Beneficial: 

Next to treating the symptoms mentioned above, B3 might be beneficial in 

the treatment of Artheriosclerosis, Acne, Schizophrenia, Withdrawal,  

prevention of certain Cancers. 

 

Caution: 

B3 can be overdosed, leading from harmless blushes (redness in face) to  

more serious jaundice.

Functions: 

Involved in production of DNA. As a coenzyme, B3 is also involved in  

the general metabolism and the breakdown of Proteins, Fats, and  

Carbohydrates. B3 is necessary for the synthesis of sex hormones. 

Vit. B5 = Pantothenic Acid 

 

Deficiency: 

Nervousness, Irritability, premature Graying, Arthritis, Allergies, Fatigue,  

Spasms 

 

Beneficial & Functions: 

B5 is important for all functions of the Adrenal gland and the production  

of  Cortisone. B5 is active in the production of Cholesterol, Steroids,  

Fatty acids and Energy. It is part of the bodies Metabolism and needed  

for the Nerves. It is reduces the effects of antibiotics and radiation.

Vit. B9 = Folic Acid 

 

Deficiency: 

Anemia, Nervousness, Depression, Psychosis, Irritability, Weakness,  

loss of Memory and Concentration, Diarrhea, premature Graying,  

Fetus deformities, Glossitis (sore Tongue), Toxemia, premature Birth,  

afterbirth Hemorrhaging, etc.

B9 may help in cases of Diarrhea, Dropsy, Graying, Pregnancy,

Latest Research: 

According to newer studies, Folic acid may be extremely useful in the  

prevention of Alzheimer's, Cardiovascular disease, Spina bifida ( a neural 

tube defect affecting newborn children), Cancer of Colon and Cervix,  

Mood disorders and Depression. This is surely a very important B vitamin.

Vit. B12 = Cyanocobalamin 

 

Deficiency: 

Anemia, Fatigue, Weakness, Nervousness, Irritability, Depression,  

Headaches, loss of Memory and Concentration, Nausea, Glossitis (sore  

Tongue), Spasms, jerky movements, Dementia, Confusion, Difficulties in  

Walking and Speaking, Yellow Eyes and Skin, Pale lips, Tongue, Gums  

and inside of Eye-lids, Shortness of Breath, etc. 

 

Beneficial: 

B12 might also show beneficial results in treating certain Cancers,  

Anemia, Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis, and all kinds of mental Confusion  

and Deficiency. 

 

Caution: 

There are rare reports of nose and ear bleeding with dryness of mouth  

in cases of heavy overdosage.

Vit. B15 = Pangamic Acid aka. N-N-dimethylglycine (DMG) 

The active ingredient in B15 is Dimethylglycine. Therefore DMG is not 

really a vitamin at all. 

 

Deficiency: 

Deficiency of B15 may cause Hypoxia, Heart disease, reduced  

oxygenation of cells, Glandular, Circulatory and Nervous disorders. 

 

Beneficial: 

Used for treatment of Sclerosis, Heart disease, Atherosclerosis, Hypoxia,  

Angina, Hepatitis and Cirrhosis (remember Silymarin/Milk Thistle),  

premature Aging, Emphysema, high Cholesterol, Circulatory  problems  

and, since it improves cell oxygenation, Cancer. 

(Russian sportlers took it to improve their endurance)

Vit. B17 = Laetrile 

 

Deficiency: 

Not known 

 

Beneficial: 

Has shown extreme promise in the treatment of all kinds of Cancer. 

 

Sources: 

Seeds and pits of Apricots, Apples, Cherries, Peaches, Plums,  

Nectarines etc. All containing about 2-3% of B17. 

 

Caution: 

Some still maintain that the cyanide may lead to poisoning. However,  

many scientists do not share this view, including Dr. Dean Burk, a chief  

cytologist of the National Cancer Institute. In fact, it might be the cyanide  

that attacks the cancerous cells. In normal cells an enzyme, called  

rhodanese, detoxifies the cyanide. Cancerous cells lack this enzyme and  

are thus attacked and destroyed by the cyanide bound in laetrile.
